Essential Oils for Stress and Tension

 

You may already be using your essential oils to help with symptoms from stress and tension.

Here are a few blends to try….

 

MASSAGE BLEND

2 ounces sweet almond carrier oil

10 drops lavender essential oil 

6 drops Roman chamomile essential oil

4 drops sandalwood essential oil

4 drops ylang-ylang essential oil

1 drop neroli essential oil

  1. Pour the sweet almond carrier oil into a small glass or ceramic bowl.
  2. Add the lavender, Roman chamomile, sandalwood, ylang-ylang, and neroli essential oils to the carrier oil, and stir to combine.
  3. Pour the blend into a dark-colored glass bottle that closes tightly, and store the bottle in the refrigerator between uses.
  4. Using your fingertips, apply this blend to the affected area, and massage it into the skin.
  5. Repeat this once a day as needed.

 

BATH BLEND

4 ounces sweet almond carrier oil

20 drops lavender essential oil

12 drops Roman chamomile essential oil

8 drops sandalwood essential oil

8 drops ylang-ylang essential oil

2 drops neroli essential oil

  1. Pour the sweet almond carrier oil into a small glass or ceramic bowl.
  2. Add the lavender, Roman chamomile, sandalwood, ylang-ylang, and neroli essential oils to the carrier oil, and stir to combine.
  3. Pour the blend into a dark colored glass bottle that closes tightly, and store the bottle in the refrigerator between uses.
  4. Run a warm bath. While the water is running, add 1 to 2 teaspoons of the blend to the tub.
  5. Soak for at least 15 minutes, or until you feel less tense.

 

DIFFUSER BLEND

10 drops lavender essential oil

6 drops chamomile essential oil

4 drops sandalwood essential oil

4 drops ylang-ylang essential oil

1 drop neroli essential oil

  1. Add the lavender, chamomile, sandalwood, ylang-ylang, and neroli essential oils to the water in your diffuser.
  2. Turn the diffuser on, and allow it to run for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Repeat this 2 times a day until you feel more relaxed.

 

SPRAY

2 ounces distilled or filtered water

10 drops lavender essential oil

6 drops chamomile essential oil

4 drops sandalwood essential oil

4 drops ylang-ylang essential oil

1 drop neroli essential oil

  1. Pour the water into a glass spray bottle.
  2. Add the lavender, chamomile, sandalwood, ylang-ylang, and neroli essential oils to the water, and shake well to blend.
  3. Spritz the blend in any room in your home, as often as you like, until you feel more relaxed.
